Nothing Gold Can Stay

Natures first Green is gold

Her hardest hue to hold
Her early leaf a flower
But only so an hour
Then leaf subsides to leaf
So Eden sank to grief
So dawn goes down to day
Nothing Gold can stay

New Poem
As summer comes to end
Once green leaves change to
red,
The coldness grows,
And tickles your toes,
The birds come back,
And all the snow melts away.
