Absolut Distillers

Without a shadow of doubt, Batangas is not only known for

beaches. Known as Industrial Port City of CALABARZON, the
province is also a home of a variety of industrial plants, one being
the Absolute Distillers, Inc in Barangay Malaruhatan, Lian,
Batangas. The plant operates as an alcohol distillery and
endeavors to generate renewable sources of energy.
Absolut Distillers is indeed new to me since I neither heard nor
know about the plant until we visited it in our fieldtrip. I learned
numerous things about the industrial plant, starting from foremost
to the finest detail of it. Before the actual plant tour, a short
introduction and discussion was transpired. From there, I learned
the history and breakthroughs of the Absolut Distillers. I became
acquainted with the raw materials and the product of the plant
such as bioethanol, dry ice and liquid carbon dioxide. I got the full
picture of the distillery operations including the process of
conversion of alcohol from molasses and distillation itself. In
addition, I learned the manufacturing process flow and I was
engrossed by their waste management system.
