influential work on narrative from the 1960s (The Todorov Narrative
Theory within Bond, 2012).

Todorov' suggested that

most stories first begin at a
status quo, where any

Disruption:

He then said, that in most stories,

the source of this disruption would
be identified by the characters,
before an attempt the repair the
equilibrium could be made.

Disruption of
Equilibrium:

He then suggested that the most

common thing to happen in most
stories was that the
peace/equilibrium at the
beginning of the narrative would
be disrupted.
