This week, the Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, through her campaign website,

reached out to a supporter from the music world. Her supporter is the Virginia Rapper Pusha T,
who came to prominence as one half of the rap group Clipse. Pusha built his career around raps
based on cocaine dealings. Although Pusha T is an unlikely ally, this can boost Hillarys support
among African American voters.
Clintons electoral strategy has involved maximizing the potential vote in African American and
Hispanic communities. She is using music to reach out to African Americans.
The rapper previously talked with Business Insider about his first meeting with Clinton.
[The conversation] was simply about engaging and being engaged, and making sure that I
engage people to voteGet people out to the polls, that was her main thing.
