Authorities arrested a man on Saturday morning for operating an illegal after-hours bar
out of a gym. Detectives form the Special Enforcement Bureau of the Newark Police
Department responded to citizen complaints of people entering Pump It Up Gym, located
at 220 Elizabeth Avenue, close to midnight. Newark Public Safety Director Anthony
Ambrose stated that authorities entered the gym and saw people buying and drinking
alcohol, and found refrigerated alcohol for sale. The bar did not have the appropriate
credentials to sell alcohol, Ambrose said.
Jersey City resident Victor Moral, 39, the bars manager, was arrested and charged with
maintaining an unlicensed liquor establishment and unlawful possession of Alcohol,
according to Ambrose. Ambrose released as statement regarding the work of the Special
Enforcement Bureau detectives.
I commend members of the Special Enforcement Bureau whose actions were in direct
response to information from citizen complaints that the location is used as an after-hours
liquor establishment on weekends, Ambrose said. The city of Newark thrives on
businesses that operate lawfully to maintain a safe and prosperous community.

Van Zandt and his wife Maureen will curate a series of four concerts titled Little
Stevens Underground Garage At The Basie Presented By Citi, with the first show

Count Basie Theatres planned expansion will broaden the multi-purposed Monmouth
Street venue as a cultural and educational destination for the performing arts in Red
Bank, according to Count Basie chairman Tom Widener.
Theater president and CEO Adam Philipson said last year that he hopes to progress on the
project by 2018 or 2019.

President-elect Donald Trump stated he plans to deport as many as 3 million people once
he is officially commander and chief.

In an interview with CBSs 60 Minutes, which aired on Sunday, Trump said: What we
are going to do is get the people that are criminal and have criminal records, gang
members, drug dealers, where a lot of these people, probably two million, it could be
even three million, we are getting them out of our country or we are going to
incarcerate. Throughout his campaign, Trump stressed his desire to deport criminal
aliens and said that he would deport families in a very human way.
In speaking with CBS after defeating Hillary Clinton in the electoral college although
losing to her in popular votes, Trump referred to undocumented migrants without
criminal records as terrific people.
After the border is secure and after everything get normalized, were going to make a
determination on the people that theyre talking about who are terrific people, theyre
terrific people but we are gonna make a determination at that, Trump said. But before
we make that determination, tis very important, we are going to secure that border.
The US already has a history of arresting, detaining and deporting migrants. During his
two terms as president, Barack Obama has deported over 2.5 million people, more than
doubled the number of border patrol agents, as well as increased border surveillance and

contracted the countrys largest prison company to help detain migrants. Trumps
proposed wall would be made of hardened concrete, rebar, and steel.
When asked if some parts of his wall would include fencing, he said, For certain areas I
would, but certain areas, a wall is more appropriate.
Im very good at this, the President-elect added. Its called construction.

On Sunday morning, President-elect Donald Trump took to Twitter to attack the New
York Times.

Trump tweeted: Wow, The [New York Times] is losing thousands of subscribers because
of their very poor and highly inaccurate coverage of the Trump phenomena.
In his tweets he referred to a letter sent by Times publisher Arthur Sulzberger Jr and
executive editor Dean Baquet to subscribers after Tuesdays election. They wrote: Did
Donald Trumps sheer unconventionality lead us and other news outlets to underestimate
his support among American voters?
Trump took to Twitter again on Sunday: The [Times] states today that DJT believes
more countries should acquire nuclear weapons. How dishonest are they. I never said
this!
Trumps confrontational relationship with the press has gone beyond Twitter. Trump has
also made attacks on the media a standard part of his stump speech and urged crowds to
jeer at reporters. The Times has extensive reports on Trumps background, including their

revealing that he may not have paid federal income tax for 18 years, investigation of
various allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior and assault; and compiling a list of
the 282 people, places, and things he insulted on Twitter during his campaign.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg said his company will do more to combat fake news
while continuing to dispute that the spread of fake news on Facebook had no effect on the
result of the US election.
In a post on his Facebook profile, Zuckerberg wrote: Of all the content on Facebook,
more than 99% of what people see is authentic. Only a very small amount is fake news
and hoaxes. The hoaxes that do exist are not limited to one partisan view, or even to
politics.
That said we dont want any hoaxes on Facebook. Our goal is to show people the
content they will find most meaningful, and people want accurate news. We have already
launched work enabling our community to flag hoaxes and fake news, and there is more
we can do here. We have made progress, and we will continue to work on this to improve
further.
The end of election has not made matters better, with false claims circulation on
Facebook that President Obama was planning to give Clinton a blanket pardon.
Zuckerbergs post went further into defending his social network sit, and how people
must be cautious of online content: An even greater volume of stories express an

opinion that many will disagree with and flag as incorrect even when factual. I am
confident we can find ways for our community to tell us what content is most
meaningful, but I believe we must be extremely cautious about becoming arbiters of truth
ourselves.

Rev. Jose Luiz Sanchez Ruiz was the third priest abducted in the Gulf coast state of

The Rev. Aaron Reyes, spokesman for the diocese in Catemaco, told Milenio television

activism. Ruiz had received threats in recent days because he is a defender of human
rights and social causes. He has criticized the system of corruption and the crime problem
in Catemaco, Reyes said.
At least 31 priests have been killed in Mexico since 2006, with most of the attacks
occurring in areas of Mexico plagued by drug cartel violence. Mexicos Catholic Media

Center says Veracruz, Guerrero and Mexico states are the most dangerous for priests.
These states, along with Michoacan, are the states with the worst drug-cartel dilemmas.
