Guidelines for the New Friend Program

BE COMMITTED: Please try not to be absent or late. If you are not able to come, call the
teacher your Little Friend is assigned to and leave a message or email the teacher. Riverside's
phone number is 482-1334. You will be given the teacher's voicemail extension and email address
at orientation. Maintain a professional attitude at all times: Be a good role model for your
Little Friend. Your job is to increase the self-esteem of your little person.
Follow the Dress Code:
NO caps allowed on campus (leave them in the car)
Clothing should not have advertisement for sex, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or other
controversial subjects.
Boys / Girls shirts must cover the stomach at all times
Girls shorts must be at least one inch below your extended fingertips
Girls must wear bras
Spaghetti straps are not acceptable on our campus (bring a shirt to wear over such a
blouse)
Tattoos must be covered
The only acceptable body piercing is one or two in the ear.
Remember a few Dont's:
Don't take Little Friends down to the Chipola River
Don't slam dunk at the basketball goals
Don't wear caps on Riverside campus
Don't go to the P.E. area
Don't bring gifts! We want your time not your money.
Don't bring a friend or child with you. Your time should be totally devoted to your Little
Friend.
Don't fill out an application if you aren't really committed to coming to Riverside an
hour each week.
