Kick: Press Y and the character will kick directly in front of her. All kicks deal very little
damage, however they are useful for moving enemies around.
Tip: Kicks can break an opponents guard, making them ideal for leading into a combo.
In the later Chapters use kicks to get past enemies in narrow corridors.

The game gives several indications that the Cool Combo is being performed correctly. When
the player makes a Cool Combo hit, the screen flashes with white Xs, the sword strike makes an odd
whooshing sound, and the controller vibrates.
Practice Mode can be useful for practicing the Cool Combo. Using the Timing Bar a player can
see the timing window for pressing X. The window appears as the yellow portion of the bar. However,
players should guard against using the Timing Bar too often. The bar is not available outside of
Practice Mode and it is very easy to become overly dependent upon it. Instead, players should consider
using the sound of the attack or the motion of the animation to gauge the timing for the Cool Combo. It
is suggested that players turn off other sounds and/or watch the animations closely and use the Timing
Bar only as an occasional reference.
There are some ways to make performing the Cool Combo easier. The timing for the Cool
Combo is based off of Skill, so having maxed out Skill is very important. The Special Skill
Bracelet increases the length of the timing window for performing all combos. This means that with the
Special Skill Bracelet, the timing for the Cool Combo is more forgiving, thus the combo is easier to
pull off.
It is also important to pay attention to the amount of blood the character has accumulated on her
sword. As a sword becomes covered with blood, the timing of attacks will change. This causes the
timing to become progressively more difficult as the player attempts to chain attacks together. A good
way to deal with this is to either practice the Cool Combo with a bloody sword (useful when trying to
defeat Blood Mist Zombies) or use the Sparking Sword Bracelet to reduce the amount of blood gained
from attacks.
The Cool Combo deals double damage with each hit. This means that a player could use the
Cool Combo to easily complete the Swift and Beautiful Death Quest and defeat difficult bosses. The
Cool Combo always has a one more attack than the maximum number of attacks in the character's

Throw Knives: Press B and Aya will toss out small throwing knives.
Tip: Aya can Lock On to aim her throwing knives with the RB. Aya can equip the
Piercing Bracelet to get more mileage out of the throwing knives. They are really useful for
picking off Bird Zombies.

knives.
Tip: Aya can Lock On before starting the jump to aim the knives.

Single Whirlwind Attack: To perform this attack, move the left analog stick in a full circle
(clockwise or counter-clockwise, either will work) and then press X. When executed, this move
resembles a shortened version of Ayas Whirlwind Ecstasy Attack.
Tip: This move simulates an Ecstasy Attack without using any charge from Ayas
Ecstasy Meter.
Double Sword Slash: Press B to perform this attack. Aya will lunge forward and strike with
both blades.
Tip: This move is ideal for moving into a clump of zombies to set up an even bigger
attack.
Double Downward Slash: Press A and then press B while Aya is in the air. Aya will come
down with an overhead slash using both her swords.
Tip: The Double Downward Slash is a great way to greet a small clump of zombies and
it is not as timing intensive and the Downward Slash. Be careful, if a character is hit
while jumping they will be knocked down.

There are a few unlocks that are not related to Quests, Achievements, or Bracelets. Most of
them can be completed by leveling up Aya, Saki, and Annna or by completing Story Mode on the
various difficulties.
Upon reaching level 20 with Aya, Saki and Annna receive their Eye Color (Green) and Aya and
Saki receive their Hair Color (Gold), while Annna receives her Hair Color (Black). At level 30 each
character receives their Eye Color (Red) and Lip Color (Lavender).
Beating Normal difficulty unlocks Hard difficulty, beating Hard unlocks Violent, and beating

Lastly, when a characters bonuses have been fully unlocked and they have all their Dress Up
options available, then they will gain another option: the ability to reset their stats. To do this, use the
appropriate command while on the Main Menu. The reset stats bar will empty out, but all of its points

Rapid Gem: A holy gem infused with the power of a gale. Max 3 held.
Speed temporarily increases 1.5 times. This item only affects the characters
movement speed. The boost lasts about thirty seconds.
Tip: The speed boost from this item will stack with the speed increase
from Rampage Mode and Double Rampage Mode.
Page 63
Recovery Gem: A holy gem infused with the power of revival. Max 1
held. Revives a character who falls close to death. This item completely
recovers a fallen character. They will return to inactive status with a full
Vitality Gauge and an empty Splatter Gauge. Unfortunately, the revived
character will be returned to normal status if they where in Rampage Mode.
Recovery Gems are useless if you only have one character.
Tip: Recovery Gems also drop rarely. Save them for when you really
need them.
Item Pickups
Along with consumable items zombies also drop some items that work on pick up.
Yellow Orb: These items are the most common drop in the game. Picking one up will increase your
Orb Points for the Chapter and move your Character closer to leveling. The size of the Yellow Orb
denotes its worth.
Red Orb: These items will fill in a bit of Aya and Sakis Splatter Gauge on pick up. If the character is
already in Rampage Mode then they will regain a bit of vitality instead.
Power Tablet: This rare pick up appears as a glowing red pill. This will permanently increase the
characters Power stat by one point.
Skill Tablet: This rare pick up appears as a glowing purple pill. This will permanently increase the
characters Skill stat by one point.

Exorcists
These spider-like zombies can be tough to beat. They can leap
great distances and have quick charging attacks. They also have a
good deal of vitality and can block most attacks. To beat them with
Aya, break their guard and attack them with a quick combo. Ayas
Ecstasy Attack is great for mowing down groups of these creepy
things. To beat them with Saki, use her One-Hit-Kill move. The
others in the group will not be able to harm Saki while she performs
this attack. As Annna, keep your distance and shoot them. They will
take quite a number of rounds to kill, but it can be done. Just dont
get too far away from them or they will leap to close the gap.
Gigants
Gigants are giant slow moving zombies. Their huge bodies make great
targets and can take a lot of punishment. However do not drop your guard
around these zombies. They can make some surprisingly quick attacks that can
knock you back or knock you down. All of a Gigants attacks deal massive
amounts of damage so keep your distance. Outmaneuver the Gigant and attack
him from the side or behind to remain safe.
Murders
Murders are soldier zombies and they are much tougher that normal zombies.
They come in three flavors: knife specialists, machine-gunners, and grenadiers.
Knife specialists carry knives and have a three hit combo that will make short
work of any of the girls. Machine-gunners carry a machine gun and can mow you
down from a distance. Grenadiers throw grenades which hurt both you and their
fellow zombies. Since it may take a few hits to kill a Murder strike him just
enough times to get rid of his arms and move to the next one. Without arms
Murders cannot use their weapons.
