The Crown
Once upon a time in Krypton planet, there was a war between the two sons of King
Juo-El who was getting older. The war had killed almost half of the Krypton population since
the two sons, Galea-El the older and Heria-El who were having the same power fought for
the crown. Meanwhile Juo-El could do nothing to stop the war, he kept on crying almost
everyday thinking of his two sons fighting.
One day King Juo-El could not stand seeing for more, so he called the two sons and
said, If I give you my life, will you Galea-El stop this war? Galea-El said nothing for
feeling guilty. What about you Heria ? I will stop the war only if I get your crown no
matter if youre dead or alive. Said Heria-El But you know, Heria. I cant give you this
crown since Galea is my oldest son. He deserves the crown, not you. And you knw that.
Before the debate was even getting worse, Gale-El said, Well, if that crown would
save people then I will give it to Heria. But promise me onething, Heria. What is it ?
asked Heria-El. Be a wise king for your people.
Galea turned his sad face to his father. Its alright with me, Father. King Juo-Els
face turned red in anger, But I cant do this. I know that Heria can not be a wise king. This
planet will be destroyed in his hands. Said Juo-El angrily. If thats what you think, Father.
Then I will have to take it by force said Heria.
Knowing that there was no choice, King Juo-El had to give in. He knew that Heria
would do anything for the crown, even killing his own family. But if he didnt love his
family, how could he love his people ?
King Juo-El was in doubt for sometimes before he really had to hand over the crown
to Heria. I have made my decision. He declarated. Come closer my son, Heria and take the
crown you have always wanted.
Heria-El came closer to his father with great pride. He finally won, he thought. As
Heria was only few more inchies from his father, he suddenly creamed out loud watching his
belyy where the pain came from. His father finally killed him. Everyone in the room was
shocked by the situation. Im sorry my son. But I cant let this planet be in the wrong
hands. Said King Juo-El.

FOUR WIVES

There was a rich mercant who had four wives. He loved the 4 th wife the most, since
she is the latest he married, and adorned her with rich robes and treatedher to delicacies. He
took great care of her and gave her nothing but the best. He also love his 3 rd wife very much.
Hes very proud of her and always wanted to show off her to his friends. However, the
mercant is always in great fear that she might run away with some other man. He too, he
loved his 2nd wife. She is very considerate person, always patient and in fact is the mercant
confidante. Whenever the mercant faced some problem, he always turned to his 2 nd wife and
she would always help him out and tide him trough difficult times. Now, the mercants 1 st

wife is a very loyal partner and has made great contributions in maintaining his wealth and
business as well as taking care of the household. However, the mercant didnt love the first
wife and although she love him deeply, he hardly took notice of her.
Oneday, the mercant feel ill. Before long, he knew that he was going to die soon. He
thought of his luxurious life and told him self, Now, I have 4 wives with me. But when I die,
Ill be alone. How lonely Ill be ! Thus he asked the 4 th wives, I loved you most, endowed
you with the finest clothing and showered great care over you. Now that im dying, will you
follow me and keep me company ? No way. Im still too young to die! replied the 4 th wife
and she walked away without another word. The answer cut like a sharp knife right into the
mercants heart. The sad mercant then asked the 3 rd wife, I have loved you so much for all
my life. Now that im dying, will you follow me and keep me company ? No! replied the
3rd wife. Live is so good over here! Im going to remarry when you die! The mercants
heart sank and turned cold. He then asked the 2 nd wife, I always turned to you for help and
youve always helped me out. Now I need your help again. When I die, will you follow me
and keep me company ? Im sorry, I cant help you out this time! replied the 2 nd wife. At
the very most, I can only send you to your grave. The answer came like a bold of thunder
and the mercant was devastated.
Then a voice called out : Ill leave with you. Ill follow you no matter where you
go. The merchant looked up and there was his first wife. Se was so skinny, almost like she
suffered from malnutition. Greatly grieved, the mercant said, I should have taken much
better care of you while i could have!
Actually, we all have friends of the 4-wives type in our lives.
