Unlocking the cdma dongle for gsm sim cards
Like you may have a cdma dongle of any network provider.....it also has a sim card socket. You may be thinking that how to use
it..or your cdma dongle is not going well and want to shift to the gsm network for better option...
Here's the way to do it .....the modem must have a gsm sim card socket to insert you can also use any modem of any network but
you must have a socket like the image below to do this...

Get the service port of the modem from the device manger

Choose the service port and click on connect to get the info of the device click on read next to it

You will get the info for the device on the left side

Go to security tab and type SPC code "000000" and click on SPC and then send

You will get a popup that your phone is unlocked ...

Follow this blog

Go to other tab and in R-UIM choose the "R-UIM only" option to remove the cdma and choose gsm

In the same tab if you use "R-UIM if avail" option to make the use of both gsm and the cdma

On the NAM tab choose NAM1 and click on read from bottom to get the mobile number, name and others details... you can change
the setting and save it on the device....click on the write button to make the change to to the cdma modem

To disconnect the device click on the disconnect button to exit the cdma workshop and start using the cdma dongle as gsm with
the sim card

i had done these steps,then i insert the sim card in dongle,but its not working...now what should i do?

hey.....but I still don't understand. the difference between gsm and CDMA is the
change in their MHz. CDMA have 800 while gsm have 850/> .still a software change
cannot undo the hardware.
