Ex: 15 10 = __1.5___
15 x 10 = __150__
-

When the decimal point is not visible, it is always at the end of a

number (15 15.0)
When you divide a number by 10, you should move the decimal point
one place backwards.
When you multiply a number by 10, you should move the decimal point
one place forward.

When B is missing
Ex: 156 ______ = 15.6
In this example from 156 to 15.6, the decimal point moved one place
backwards so 156 is divided by 10.
Ex: 156 x ______ = 1560
In this example from 156 to 1560, the decimal point moved one place
forward so 156 is multiplied by 10.

When A is missing
Ex: ______ x 10 = 408
408 10 = 40.8
Therefore 40.8 x 10 = 408
Ex: ______ 10 = 11.7
11.7 x 10 = 117
Therefore 117 10 = 11.7
