    School Climate
    The principal fosters the success of all students by developing, advocating, and
    sustaining an academically rigorous, positive, and safe school climate for all
    stakeholders.

    Co-Leader for the Lead Explorers Leadership Academy- I created a leadership


    curriculum for a core group of students. I accompanied the students to attend the
    2016 Prejudice Awareness Summit at VCU where we created an action plan for our
    school.

    Team Leader for PBIS, Matoaca Middle School, I worked with my team to train
    staff on PBIS best practices in order reduce discipline referrals and create a
    more positive climate. My team also created PBIS lessons the staff to implement
    with students the first week of school. We have implemented a Matoken system
    so that the staff can reward students for following our TRIBE expectations. I
    have also been trained to access and analyze our SWISS Data in order to create
    an action plan based on our school needs.
