The students will take a short survey to see how much they know or remember about equations, expressions, terms, and variables. The students will create notes on each of the lessons done in class. After each lesson there should be a summary of what the student has learned in the lesson. Students will create a set of flashcards on quizlet in which they will show, describe and define all pieces of equations and inequalities. They will also indicate the purpose of each piece and symbol of the equation. They can also include examples. The students will apply and rehearse what they have learned about solving linear equations, inequalities, and quadratic equations on a worksheet of problems. They will initially work in groups on the assignment, and whatever is unfinished will become homework. The students will be able to solve linear equations and inequalities and identify the steps they used to solve the equation. They will also be checking their answers for each problem. The students will create a poster on their choice of a linear equation, inequality, or quadratic. The poster will include information on one of these three types of equations in general, and also include an example of the type of equation they have chosen. The students will demonstrate what they have learned about algebraic equations on a test. It will include descriptions of equations, and they will also apply the skills they have learned in solving equations and checking their own answers.
