M/s. Britannia Group is a Kolkata based company engaged in the
manufacture of bakery products, viz., Biscuit, Cakes and Pastries, etc. Britannia informed that it is the first food company in India to become a Zero Trans Fat company.
The Company proposed to manufacture consumer Bakery products,
viz., Biscuit, Cakes and Pastries, etc..
Britannia had proposed to establish this project in SIPCOT
Perundurai Industrial Park. SIPCOT have also allotted about 24.14 Acres.
The investment in this manufacturing facility: Rs.71.04 crores.
The employment is about 1136 Nos out of which women employment
is about 716 Nos.
Britannia applied for Single Window approval from Guidance Bureau
in June 2014. The Single window Screening Committee met in July 2014 and passed an unanimous resolution according Composite In Principle NOC to this project.
M/s. Britannia had informed that it has completed the above project that commenced commercial production .
Encourage by the success of Phase I, M/s. Britannia Industries have
now applied for Single Window clearance for Phase II.
M/s. Britannia Industries have now committed an investment of
Rs.61 crores in the proposed expansion project in this Phase:II project. Including this, total investment of Britannia would be: Rs.85.14 crores
Employment committed is about 1930 persons out of which female
employment is about 1074 persons.
M/s. Britannia Industries have now applied for single window
facilitation and the Single Window Screening Committee has been scheduled on 7th April 2016. ***
