Digital Storytelling-A Personal Narrative

Description:

Grade

Student will use various hardware and


software to create their own personal
narrative film. They will collaborate to
create a theme, trouble shoot issues,
and discuss the final Films.

Time

Individually, they will use digital


images (still or film), audio, text, use
iMovie Maker and share their film with
the class. The films will serve to
breakdown conversation barriers, create
conversation and develop relationships.

! Mac or PC computers with appropriate


software- iMovie (please see resource page
on DLG Case Study Website) & word
processing
! Digital Camera or iPhone & accessories

Intro
Go through the DLG Case Study Website. Become
familiar with the Case Studies and their purpose.
Discuss with the class their community and getting
to know each other. Introduce the idea of digital
storytelling as a way to better get to know one
another.

! Tripod (optional)
! Access to internet & public domain
images/music.
! Student handouts
! Mythware (optional, see resource page)
