Aim: Your task is to work out which of the following is the worlds worst volcano? Is it:
Krakatoa

St. Helens

Pelee

Laki

Tambora

Vesuvius

Method: You will need to get most of your information from the internet you have to justify
your choice, not only mentioning how bad your choice of volcano has been but how that
makes it worse than all the others. You should then write up your report in the following
way:

Describe the aim of your investigation, as given above
Plot the precise location of the 6 volcanoes on a world map (provided for you), making
sure the map is titled
Give your choice of the worlds worst volcano, explain what makes it so bad, and why it is
worse than the other five
You may wish to include diagrams/photos/maps/graphs with your written report make
sure that you refer to these in your text
The report should be 400-800 words in length.

The amount of research you have done, and its relevance
The accuracy of your volcano map
The quality of your analysis how well and how thoroughly have you justified your
choice, and
