Worksheet 6: my TV Game Show

Aim: To explore the importance of the formats, questions and prizes

PITCH SUMMARY OUTLINE THE MAIN FEATURES OF YOUR OWN TV GAME SHOW:

Two teams from one secondary school compete against each other in a series of
activities and quizzes. There are five students on each team; one from each year.
Each student will go against another student from the same year as them, and they
will go head to head to see who wins. There will also be group rounds. Everyone will
have to complete one of the games or rounds that is chosen randomly. The student
and the activity will also be randomly generated. There will be quick fire general
knowledge questions where students from different years have to buzz in to answer.
From each win, you collect points, and the team with the most points at the end gets
to decide on what department of the school they would like to spend the 5000. They
also get a 200 voucher that they can spend in Paperchase, Ryman Stationery or
WHSmith. All contestants receive a 100 book voucher. The losing team with the
least amount of points are seated onto a chair above a tank filled with mud. The
winning team all get one go each to throw a ball at a target, which will make the chair
tip, throwing the losing team into the mud. At the end of each series, which will be 10
episodes each, there will be a special episode where all the winners go against each
other for the ultimate prize of a two week holiday for them and their family. The
ultimate losing team get the same punishment as usual, being dipped into a tank with
mud, but this time, they are hung by their arms and lowered slowly into the tank, until
their whole body is covered.
