The main problem in Catching Fire and Mockingjay that there is a
tyrannical president who rules the entire country. He makes children fight to the
death every year. Katniss Everdeen is one of the people placed in the arena. In
Catching Fire, she goes into the arena again for the Quarter Quell. She and victors
from other districts team up, and at the very end of day three, they all break out
and go to the rebel secret base, which is a district that was supposed to be blown
up in the first rebellion. The leader is President Coin, but she also turns out to be
tyrannical in Mockingjay, as all she wants to do is get rid of President Snow and
replace him as the dictator of Pane This is all resolved by Katniss. She is supposed
to kill Snow, but he tells her President Coins plan, so she instead kills President
Coin, and President Snow dies of old age at the same time.
