Dear Parent/Guardian,
The following teams have been invited to participate in the Annual Moshi
Sports Weekend (November 25 - 27). Sorry for the short notice on payment
and forms returned but I needed confirmation for the airline.

We will be flying on Precision Air on Friday morning 25th November


leaving school at 5.30AM and returning on Sunday evening around
11.30PM. Taking into account flights and transfers, food, T-shirts and
participation fees the cost of the trip will be $320. Which can be paid at
the secondary cashier, which is in the Admissions office. The students will
be housed and fed at ISM during this trip.
Insurance and Medical Details
Please read the risk assessment page of this document and also check and
update your childs parental contact/consent/medical information via the

All students participating in the trip must have full medical insurance.
School Wide Expectations
Academic performance
If a student wishes to participate in an optional trip or to represent the
school he/she must be Meeting Expectations (M) in each subject against
the ATL rubric. Students that earn an Approaching Expectations (A) ATL
grade in any course will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If a
student has an Unsatisfactory (U) ATL grade in any course, the student is
automatically ineligible. The students privilege to participate in these
trips may be withdrawn if a serious disciplinary incident occurs.
Class attendance

Students must attend school and classes on a regular basis and not have
absences that are considered excessive. Students must arrive to school
and class on time. A student will lose the privilege of representing IST on a
team or trip if:
She/he has been late to school/class seven times or more during a
semester.
He/she has been absent from school ten or more times during a
semester (other than school trips).
She/he skips or misses a class without a teacher or a principals
permission.
IST dress code
Students are expected to honor the IST Dress Code in order to earn the
privilege of representing IST on a team or trip. A student will lose the
privilege of representing IST on a team or trip if: He/she does not wear the
IST polo shirt or does not honor the dress code five or more times during a
semester.
Other Behavioral Expectations
Students must be in good behavioral standing at IST in order to earn the
privilege of representing IST on a team or trip. Students are also expected
to adhere to normal school rules and expectations of behavior while
travelling and representing IST on a team or trip.
I understand my son/daughter is responsible for monitoring
Lateness/Absences/Dress Code/ Effort in order to confirm eligibility for this
trip.
I understand that all payments are non-refundable once paid.
FOR STUDENTS
It is my responsibility to regularly check that my approaches to learning,
attendance (lateness, absence) and dress code meet the required
standard.
