Case Law: A.K. Kraipak v. Union of India
AIR 1970 SC 150 Facts:- This petition was brought by the gazatted officers of the state of Jammu and Kashmir serving in the forest department as Conservators, Divisional officers and Assistant conservators. They believed that they were not given preferences in the selection of Indian Forests Services constituted in 1966 under section 3(1) of the All India Services Act, 1951. They requested the honble court to quash a notification issued by the government of India regarding the appointment which the felt that was against the structure the article 14 and 16 of the Constitution.1
