FACTORS. THE OWNER RELATED FACTORS NOW IS IN THE 8 TH RANK. UNLIKE IN THE
FIRST PART OF COST OVERRUNS ABOVE IT IS IN THE 1ST RANK. THE POSSIBLE
SOLUTIONS THAT RESPONDENTS SAID IS COORDINATION/ COMMUNICATIONS WITH
OTHER TRADE CONTRACTOR. AND REVIEW PLANS AND DETAILS AHEAD OF TIME.
RECOMMENDATION
BASED ON THE FINDINGS OF THE RESEARCH, THE FOLLOWING POINTS CAN BE
RECOMMENDED TO ALL PARTIES IN ORDER TO MINIMIZE AND CONTROL COST
OVERRUNS IN CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS.
CONTRACTORS ARE RECOMMENDED TO BE AWARE ABOUT CONSTRUCTION
MATERIALS, SO THEY ARE ADVISED TO PURCHASE THE CONSTRCTION
MATERIALS AT THE BEGINNING OF WORK.
CONCTRATORS ARE RECOMMENDED TO MONITOR THE QUALITY OF
ACTIVITIES CONTINUOUSLY AND TO SET THE REQUIRED QUALITY SYSTEM IN
THE DIFFERENT ACTIVITES OF THE PROJECT SO AS TO AVOID ANY MISTAKE.
CONTRACTORS ARE RECOMMENDED TO HAVE QUALIFIED AND QUANTIFIED
TECHNICAL STAFF WITH APPROPRIATE EXPERIENCE OF THE PROJECT IN
ORDER TO BE ABLE TO FOLLOW THE DIFFERENT TECHNICAL AND
MANAGERIAL ASPECTS OF THE PROJECT.
PLANNING AND SCHEDULING ARE CONTINUING PROCESSES DURING
CONSTRUCTION AND MATCH WITH RESOURCES AND TIME TO DEVELOP THE
WORK TO AVOID COST OVERRUN.
CONTRACTORS ARE RECOMMENDED TO MINIMIZE WASTE RATE THROUGH
PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION IN ORDER TO IMPROVE COST PERFORMANCE.
