TITLE: How does the variable materials which have different dielectric
constant effect capacitors in terms of capacitance,potential difference and
storage of charges?

SUMMARY: This experiment wiil be carried out the effects on capacitance

and storage of charge by using dielectric between two parallel plates. The
relationship between them will be showed by using dielectric materials. Then, the
change in capacitors will be measured.

MATERIALS:
-Multimeter
-Voltage Supply
-Two parallel plate conductors
-Dielectric materials (glass,paper,carton,a piece of wood, etc.)
-Meters

THE EXPERIMENT:
Capacitors are very useful components which can store charges and transmit
electric energy.Capacitors are commonly used as a components of elecric circuit
in many electrical devices. When we use dielectric between plates, capacitors
will be tend to store more energy. Capacitance can be defined below as a ratio of
the amount of charges and potential difference.

C=q/v
V:the potential difference
q: the amount of charges stored by plates

Simple parallel plate capacitor

Capacitance also depends on permitivity constant(o),the dielectric
constant(k)which comes from insulating materials between conductors,area of
the plates of conductors and distance between plates.
With dielectric formula of capacitance:

C=k.o.A/d

RESULTS: Firstly; we will measure the current while changing potential

difference. Then we plot a graph of V(the unit is Volt) with I(the unit is Amper).
After that we will find the capacitance from this graphs slope. Secondly; the
dielectric will be used into two conductors and the same progress will be
repeated. Finally; our two results will be compared to figure out the impact of
dielectric.
