FLOWER
For flower with open center Chain 4, join to make a circle, making sure your circle is big enough to fit over the
19mm button.
Chain 3, connect chain 3 to loop. Do this a total of 5 times, for a total of 5 loops,
attaching the last loop to the first stitch of the first loop, this completes the first round of
foundation loops. See figures 1 - 3

For flower with closed center Start with a magic loop (sometimes called a magic circle if you don't know how to
make one, check YouTube for instructions, which is where I learned :). Single crochet
into the loop 5 times, then make the same loops as instructed above, but connect them to
the next stitch with a slip stitch and join. The rest of the pattern is for both flowers.
For multi-color flowers, change your color on
every round.
ROUND 1 Working in first loop 1 Single crochet (SC), 1 half double crochet (HDC), 3 double crochet (DC), 1 half
double crochet (HDC), 1 single crochet (SC). Do this in all 5 loops and you have your
first row of petals. Connect to first SC using a slip stitch. See figures 4 6.
This creates a flower with an open center that you can place onto a button to make
interchangeable flowers. If you want a flower with a closed center, start you
