‘To Whom It May Concern:
Mitchell Duram has been a student teacher in our second grade class for six weeks.
He has been in a closed class of twenty students, five of whom have special needs.
Mr. Duram has worked with two cooperating teachers during his time at Janet
Johnstone School.
Mr. Duram has proved himself to be a valuable resource in our classroom. He is
eager to help students when they need some extra support and he read with
students during each visit to our class.
Mr. Duram always asked relevant and meaningful questions to further his
understanding of the teaching profession. His journal observations demonstrated
his ability to reflect and communicate as a student learning the skills to become an
effective teacher.
Mr. Duram always maintained a positive and respectful relationship with his
colleagues and students. He conducts himself in a responsible manner including
being punctual, dependable, trustworthy, consistent and reliable. Mr. Duram
volunteered extra time to participate in field trips and special activities such as
Sports Day.
We are confident that Mr. Duram will be an asset to any staff that he works with. He
is confident, knowledgeable, and professional. We believe that he will continue to
grow and become even more effective as a teacher with further opportunities.
