In-Season Discipline

The Team Leadership Committee will be in charge of tracking points and

discipline. The Committee will consist of Head Coaches (Varsity, JV, Freshman),
Team Captains and at least one senior leader.

Points

Violations

10

Drinking. (1/3 of season suspension minimum)

Dipping, Smoking.

Unexcused absence from practice or workout. Points off plus a reminder.

Unexcused absence from team meeting. Points off plus a reminder.

School detention.

Late to meetings, practice, lifting, etc. Points off plus a reminder.

Poor teacher report. Points off plus a possibility of a reminder.

Disrespectful to a coach or failure to follow directions.

Excused absence. (Extra work may be assigned)

Community Service. (-1 per hour worked)

Faculty/Coaches see acts of service/kindness and recommended reward

points.

Enforcing Point Totals

Players will be notified of their point totals

Players can consult with the person who issued their points
Players can meet in front of the Leadership Committee to dispute points
Accumulation of 4 points will equal a meeting with Leadership Committee
Three meetings with Leadership Committee will equal a one game
suspension

 Accumulation of 3 points will result in meeting with Head Coach and

parents notified
Accumulation of 10 points will result in one game suspension and
placement on a Social Contract
Accumulation of 12 points will result in any previous mentioned
enforcements and possible DISMISSAL from the team

Unexcused Absence: An unexcused absence is any of the following:

Coach was not notified BEFORE THE START OF practice, lifting, meeting,
etc. (Notifying a coach during or after will result in an unexcused absence)
No documentation. If a player says they are somewhere (funeral, doctors,
testing, college visit, etc.) documentation or a note needs to be turned in.
Coach still needs to be told ahead of time
Absence not excused by a Coach

1 unexcused absence in a week= out 1st quarter.

2 unexcused absences in a week= 1 game suspension and referral to Leadership
Committee.

Excused Absence= An Excused Absence contains at least one of the

following:
Documentation of where player is going/was at
Approval by Coach BEFORE absence occurs
Emergencies
