PLACE AND DATE OF BIRTH

Fernando Botero was born in Medellin, Antioquia, on April 19, 1932 is a painter,
sculptor and draftsman Colombian.
STUDIES
Botero graduated in 1950 at the high school of the University of Antioquia, in his
hometown. He later traveled to Spain to study the great masters of Spanish
painting (especially to Goya and Velzquez).
