• Last Supper, Italian Cenacolo, one of the most famous artworks in the world, painted by
Leonardo da Vinci probably between 1495 and 1498 for the Dominican monastery Santa
Maria delle Grazie in Milan. It depicts the dramatic scene described in several closely
connected moments in the Gospels, including Matthew 26:21–28, in which Jesus declares
that one of the Apostles will betray him and later institutes the Eucharist. According to
Leonardo’s belief, that posture, gesture, and expression should manifest the “notions of
the mind”. Each one of the 12 disciples react in a manner that Leonardo considered fit for
that man’s personality. The result is a complex study of varied human emotion, rendered
in a deceptively simple composition.

• The painting features a glimpse of Roman history centered on the bloody carnage brought
by gladiatorial matches. Spoliarium is a Latin word referring to the basement of the
Roman Colosseum where the fallen and dying gladiators are dumped and devoid of their
worldly possessions. At the center of Luna’s painting are fallen gladiators being dragged
by Roman soldiers. On the left, spectators ardently await their chance to strip off the
combatants of their metal helmets and other armory. In contrast with the charged
emotions featured on the left, the right side meanwhile presents a somber mood. An old
man carries a torch perhaps searching for his son while a woman weeps the death of her
loved one.

• “Do You Hear the People Sing?" (also known as "The People's Song") is one of the
principles and most recognizable songs from the musical. It takes place after ABC Café /
Red and Black. After it was announced that General Lamarque has died, Enjolras and
The Friends of the ABC revolt against the way of living. The song is sung near the end of
the first act and is once again sung by almost the entire cast at the end of the musical's
Finale. Instrumentally, the theme is also prominent in the battle scenes. In the 2012 film, it
is performed after “One Day More”. The lyrics were written by Herbert Kretzmer and
Alain Boublil. The song was composed by Claude-Michel Schönberg.

• Written in Spanish and published in 1887, José Rizal’s Noli Me Tangere played a crucial
role in the political history of the Philippines. Drawing from experience, the conventions of
the nineteenth-century novel, and the ideals of European liberalism, Rizal offered up a
devastating critique of a society under Spanish colonial rule. The plot revolves around
Crisostomo Ibarra, mixed-race heir of a wealthy clan, returning home after seven years in
Europe and filled with ideas on how to better the lot of his countrymen. Striving for
reforms, he is confronted by an abusive ecclesiastical hierarchy and a Spanish civil
administration by turns indifferent and cruel. The novel suggests, through plot
developments, that meaningful change in this context is exceedingly difficult, if not
impossible.

• Balloon Girl, or Girl with Balloon, is one of Banksy’s most important works, demonstrating the
graffiti stencil technique for which Banksy has become renowned around the world. The work
was released as an unsigned and signed print in 2004/2005 in low edition sizes; there are just 150
Girl With Balloon signed prints, and 600 unsigned, making it one of the most sought-after works
from the artist’s oeuvre. The work depicts a young girl, whose hair and dress are blowing in the
wind, reaching for, or releasing, a red, heart-shaped balloon that has slipped from her grasp.
The gesture and the red balloon, an archetypal symbol of childhood and freedom, present a
powerful message that can be read in a number of ways. Whether you see the girl as losing the
balloon, or about to catch it, the meaning can be interpreted as a loss of innocence or the arrival
of new hope and love. This work, which was accompanied by a quotation that read ‘there is
always hope’, originally appeared in London’s Southbank, although it was later painted over by
the council. In response, Banksy produced it again in a new context – a miniature version
appeared on the cardboard backing of a cheap Ikea frame which quickly made its mark on the
art market when it realized £73,250 at a sale at Bonhams in 2012.

• “Where Are Ü Now?” is a Bieber ballad turned forward-looking electronic dance music
(EDM) anthem, thanks to Jack Ü’s production. Intimate, ornamented verses give way to
driving, elastic drops with emotive melodies abound. Justin successfully showcases an
updated vocal affect, his feigned sincerity reaching a pleasing, sentimental impact. The
production of Skrillex and Diplo as the duo Jack Ü bring together a unique collection of
their distinctive production vocabularies, exhibiting masterful restraint and attention to
detail in fashioning this very up-to-date, left field crossover. The New York Times recently
released a video interview with the three artist that details the making of the song. Though
“Where Are Ü Now” is officially Jack Ü’s song, featuring Bieber, it will be on the deluxe
version of Justin’s new album Purpose as well. The song won Best Dance Recording at the
58th Annual GRAMMY Awards.

• The making of the Philippine flag is a masterpiece painting by Fernando Amorsolo in
Philippines. Fernando Amorsolo was one of the most important artists in the history of
painting in the Philippines. No doubt he created such a wonderful artwork. The painting
shows three women, namely Doña Marcela Mariño Agoncillo (on the right side); referred
as the mother of the Philippine flag, with the help of her daughter, Lorenza Mariño de
Agoncillo, and José Protasio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda’s niece, Delfina Rizal
Herbosa de Natividad. They were tasked by then-General Emilio Aguinaldo to sew the first
flag for the new republic. The clothes that the women are wearing are an older style, more
vintage and really depict the traditional styles. The skirts that the seamstresses wore are
long and their tops were look like a traditional “kimona”. The three women are sewing
passionately which demonstrates elegance. The painting was not that kind of vibrant in the
eyes but can set your mood calm. The setting is inside of a house, which is more like a
“Bahay Kubo”. The main colors that was used in painting was brown, red, blue, and
yellow. The mood and visual effect that this painting can be considered as calm and serene.

• Guillermo Tolentino had at his disposed the total amount of ₱125,000 (equivalent to
₱38,538,732.39 in today’s money) to construct the monument and thus realize his vision for a
bold, unprecedented, and lasting tribute to Andres Bonifacio. Construction took three years.
Tolentino was assisted by a team of sculptors and artists, foremost among them are Anastacio
Caedo and Fracesco Riccardo Monti. The twenty-three figures – depicting tableaus from the
narrative of the Philippine Revolution – are all in bronze, cast in Italy. The base, the pedestal,
and the obelisk that cradles the figures, and the 45-foot pylon are finished in granite from
Germany. The area covered by the monument, in its inauguration, was 200sqm. The Bonifacio
Monument lie at the heart of a rotunda or roundabout in Caloocan City, surrounded by four
major thoroughfares, The site commemorates Andrés Bonifacio y de Castro’s ties with Caloocan,
which served as setting for numerous milestones in the campaign for the Philippine Revolution.

• The Jeddah Tower, previously known as the Kingdom Tower, is a skyscraper nearing its
completion in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Upon its completion, Jeddah Tower will be the tallest
building in the world with a height of over 1 kilometer and a total construction area of
530,000 squares meters. The tower will have a commercial and residential place occupying
57 million feet featuring homes, hotels, and offices. Adrian smith proposed the current
design of the building in 2010 and its construction was expected to commence in 2012 but
the geological structure of the surrounding area posed a challenge to its construction and
construction commenced four years later. Construction was to be in three phases; first is
the construction of the Jeddah Tower, the second phase looking into infrastructure and the
third phase is yet to be revealed. Despite being located in a desert, the tower will be the
centerpiece of the Jeddah economic city, a government approved project in Jeddah to be a
host of residential and commercial buildings which will be established in the region. The
whole Jeddah economic city project is designed by a kingdom holding company owned by
Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal that was specifically started for the tower and the city.

• The Burj Mubarak Al-Kabir is coming up in the City of Silk or Madinat al-Hareer. This
city outside a city is coming up in Kuwait. Burj Mubarak Al-Kabir will stand 1,001 meters
(3,284 ft). Madinat Al-Hareer is an $86 billion dollar project built on a natural desert
reservation of 2 square kilometers, a duty free area, a new airport, plus a large business
center, conference areas, environmental areas, athletic areas, and areas that concentrate
on media, health, education, and industry are to be incorporated into the plans. The City
of Silk will also include numerous tourist attractions, hotels, spas, and public gardens.
Burj Mubarak al-Kabir tower will take approximately 25 years to complete if it comes to
fruition. The plan also includes a bridge that will eventually link Madinat Al-Hareer with
Kuwait City, which sits across a bay from the planned location of Madinat Al-Hareer. The
Burj Dubai is already taller than Taipei 101 and will be the tallest free-standing structure
ever when completed, that is till Burj Mubarak al-Kabir comes up.
