The ASABE Fountain Wars Competition applies understanding of the fundamental principles of
hydraulics and fluid flow towards designing solutions to a defined set of tasks. The
competition consists of two technical tasks, an aesthetic display, and an oral presentation
which will take place this year in Orlando, Florida. Our Kansas State University fountain
wars team won third place at the 2015 ASABE international meeting in New Orleans,
Louisiana which is our twelfth top-three placing in the last 14 years of competition. Our
Fountain Wars team has been devoted to creating the best design to complete each of these
parameters of the competition and we would like to ask for your sponsorship to help us
succeed in this years upcoming competition.
Design competitions such as this one have become an important element in our educational
development. We are constantly looking for opportunities to gain hands-on experience and skills
that cannot be acquired in the classroom. This program was specifically developed to give us an
opportunity to gain essential engineering skills and while participating in a fun, intercollegiate
competition.
By supporting our team you will be helping us garner valuable experience in technical writing,
presenting, applying engineering concepts, and much more.
