The stress management program teaches adolescents coping skills over 10 sessions in a 5 week period to help them manage stress, anxiety, and depression. Purpose: The purpose of the coping skills program is to teach clients a
variety of skills to help them cope with stress. Program Objectives: Terminal Program Objective 1: Enabling Objective 1: Enabling Objective 2: Terminal Program Objective 2: Enabling Objective 1: Enabling Objective 2: Implementation Description Population This program is for male and female adolescents who struggle to cope with stress and who may also suffer from anxiety and depression. Program Length and Duration This program is designed to be implemented in 10 sessions over the course of 5 weeks. Program Context This program is designed for an inpatient or residential treatment program for adolescents. However, the program could easily be adapted to an outpatient or community based setting. Staf Each session should be ran by at least one TRS, along with the appropriate number of staff to meet the facility patient-to-staff ratio. Facility Most of the sessions will take place either in a classroom setting or outside in the open lawn area. Equipment The necessary equipment for each session is specified in the following pages.
