INTRODUCING OSRAM POUTEN STANS

THE UITIMATE IN HID TIGHTING APPTICATIONS

Developed in Europe to meet the stringent lighting demands of the 1974 Olympic Games,
the OSRAM Power Star Lamps are now used all over theworld where color and economy
are imporlant requirements.
By utilizjng the rare earth additive, Dysprosium lodide, OSRAM has created a new
generation of metal halide lamps that combine the efliciency ot HID lighting with the color
quality of incandescent.
The color temperature and speclral distribution of the Power Star Lamps make them the
prime choice ior reproducing daylight conditions in stadiums and outdoor arenas" Of
particular inte!'est is their suitability for use where events in the stadium are to be fjlmed
and/or televised. The lamps are compact in size and are available in a wide variety ol
ralings, including the highest wattages. Unlike typical metal halide and mercury vapor lamps,
the Power Stars can be instantly restarted at any stage of cooling.
Macbeth Sales Corporalion maintains a stoik of-the Power Stars at its Newburgh, New
York facility, and its technlcal sta{f can answer your questions. The lamps are
manutactured in West Germany by OSRAM, GmbH.
