Our objective in this paper is to explore the concept of hydrofoils usage in High Speed Marine
Vehicles. Hydrofoils or hydrofoil vessel has been known in the maritime world as a type of high
speed marine craft. Its unique characteristic interests us to dig deeper in the function of hydrofoils
and their further possible applications in HSMVs. Known to decrease the vessels drag, hydrofoils
also take part in the stabilization of the vessel. In this paper we would like to give you a better
understanding of hydrofoils in terms of its capabilities of increasing speed and stability.
