Firstly, I needed to rotate

this.

Once it was upright, I

wanted to crop the image so
that only the actor was
there and so that there was
no background to the
image.

For this, I used the

polygonal lasso tool so that I
could go around the actor
with precision as the
standard lasso tool would
allow me to do this but
freely so mistakes would be
easy to make. Therefore, the
polygonal tool could outline
the image more carefully.
Once this was done, the
image was moved onto a
separate layer and saved as
a JPEG photo so that it could be used in Publisher.
