Reflection on Website Rhetorical Analysis
So, this whole assignment required us to find the 3 common forms of
persuasion (ethos, pathos and logos) in a website, the Child Crisis Center of
El Paso. While we did succeed in identifying them, I feel that I wont exactly
break down and analyze anymore websites until instructed by a teacher to
do so. If I were to work in an advertising or any marketing organization, I
could potentially see myself reflecting back on this class session.
In some ways we did meet the criteria for the assignment, I feel that
the paper that was submitted could have been improved greatly. Ive been
told that Im far too controlling, and need to remove myself from doing all
the work in group activities. Due to this, I decided to not be as heavy handed
in editing or creating the work, and letting my partners take the reigns. One
aspect of this assignment I wish I did more on was proof-reading and revising
the essay. I do not feel that this was up to my usual standards. From the
readings, I should have had my partners read page 91 of the Rhetoric and
Writing Studies Handbook. Page 93 had the rubric, and I feel that most
aspects of the paper didnt max out on each category.
