My name is Lynnae Edwards, and I currently attend Kutztown University. I am in
my senior year, studying Elementary Education PreK-4. I am excited that Ms. Walker has opened her doors and allowed me to go through my clinical experience in her classroom. For the next six weeks, I will be in the class and look forward to not only learning but getting to know your child as well. I was born in Philadelphia and currently live in Royersford, Pa with my family. I am one of six and come from a military background. I was exposed to the reality that my father not only fought so that his children could have a better life but wanted to ensure that for his country as well. Seeing this sparked an urge to help others. When I entered the sixth grade, I decided to volunteer my time helping those in need. During the school year, I volunteered at a free afterschool program for children that were from low-income families. Many of these children depended on the program to help them. With the combination of my father being a fearless hero and assisting the needs of children ignited a passion for me to choose the career of becoming a teacher. My passion is to help others and pass on the gift of knowledge. I know that to change the world, it starts first, in the classroom. I am thankful to Ms. Walker for allowing me the opportunity to complete my clinical experience in her class. As I stated before, I am super excited about this experience and look forward to the next weeks ahead. Respectfully, Lynnae
