Sun DD Lib 10*=190*
SAV = 9.5 + (149+360-190) / 180 X 9.5
= 9.5 + (509-190) / 180 X 9.5
= 9.5 + (41/180) X 9.5
= 9.5 + 2.16
= 11.66 years
Calculate Arc of Longevity (AOL) given by AOL = Long of Planet - DE of Planet
SAV is given by SAV = AOL /360 X Term of Life
Note: AOL should be >/= 180*
Example: Sun in Leo 29* = 149*
Sun DE Aries 10* =10*
AOL = 149* - 10* = 139* less than 180* subtract by 360*
AOL = 360* - 139* = 221*
SAV = 221/360 X19 = 11.66 years

Maximum number of years contributed by each planet is 9 years based on 9 Navamshas of a
sign.
Find sign wise longitude of planets.
Find the Navamsha traversed in that sign. 1 Navamsha = 1 year.
Calculate this information for all the planets(A)
Apply Bharanas (additions), the new figure arrived will be (B)
Apply Haranas (reductions), total gives figure--?(C)
Haranas to be applied exactly in the same manner as for Pindayurdaya Method.

Example:
Sun in Virgo 7* =2 Nav +20` out of 3*20`
= 2 + 0.33/3.33
= 2 + 0.1Nav
= 2.1 years.
BHARANAS
1. Have D-1, D-3 and D-9 charts ready.
2. For Lagna If Vargottama multiply by 2
3 Planets in Exaltation / Retrogrssion multiply by 3
4. Planet in Vargottama, OH, own Nav and own Drekkanna multiply by 2
5. If multiple Bharanas apply to a planet take the maximum mulltiplying factor.
6. Use the charts as follows:
(a) Exaltation / retro D-1
(b) Vargottama D-1 / D-9 only
(c) Own House (OH) D-1
(d) Own Drekkanna D-3
