It is with great pride that I write a letter of recommendation on behalf of Jillian Schulte for your consideration. I
recently had the privilege of having Jillian in one of my Educational Leadership classes at Drake University.
From the moment I first met Jillian, it was readily apparent that she was extremely passionate about finding
success for each and every student. Much of Jillians success as an educator is founded on developing meaningful
and purposeful relationships with students and her colleagues. From all that I know and have heard of Jillian, she is
trusted and respected by students as well as her colleagues and her administration.
Jillians strong belief in building community is admired. She recognizes and understands that the role of a school
leader begins and ends with her ability to build a community of leaders who put the needs of children first above
all else. This takes a tremendous skill set built on a foundation of trust that models and values the importance of
personal relationships, teamwork, visibility, communication, and ability to problem solve.
Jillian models personal excellence through her own professional growth and development activities. She actively
seeks opportunities to learn from educational leaders locally and nationally. She has dedicated herself to further
developing her own individual leadership capacity in order to enhance student performance as well as that of her
colleagues.
Jillian has my true respect as a leader. She is admired within her school community for the passion she brings to
her work on behalf of all students on a daily basis. She has the necessary skills and disposition to motivate staff,
parents, and students to commit to new levels of effort and learning. I am confident that when you have the
opportunity to review her past work success, her credentials and visit with her personally, for any period of time you will see what I have come to know in her; she is ready to lead.
It is no surprise that Jillian aspires to be a leader in a community that values excellence. In my experience with
Jillian she has convinced me that she will be extremely successful in any position she pursues. Please feel free to
