Show the students slides (on PowerPoint) of what


different sports were done in the first Olympics in St.
Louis.

Split up students into groups and make them read about different
events that took place in the St. Louis Olympics and share them to
the class.

Have the students write down what year and location


the first U.S Olympics were held before letting them
leave either the classroom or to go home; for points.

Give the students an article and make them read it


Guided Practice and highlight key important information they either
didnt know or seemed interesting.

Ask the students how many people they think


attended. Then dont tell them the answer and make
them go look it up on their own, by either taking
them to the computer lab or assigning it at home
depending on if all students have internet access.
Students will be able to know where and what year
the first US olympics were.
