Imagine- John Lennon

john lennon's most notorious song: Imagine, is in my opinion the most lyrical epic
song of its time. the words in this song should not be taken lightly for it speaks of world
peace and a mutual utopia. a lot of wisdom was put into this song and there are a few
lines that stood out to me such as no religion, no countries, and no possessions. a lot of
people would agree with this, arguably the religion part but no one should be mad about
the songs blasphemous message. i think john lennon just wanted us to dream and
ponder what the world would be like in total peace.
the song mainly consists of no heaven, no hell,no countries, nothing to kill or die
for, no religion, no possessions, no greed, no hunger, sharing, and total connection to
the world. a lot of that sounds awesome and maybe some of it dosent but the main
thing you have to ask yourselves is what can you do for the world to help it embrace
peace. john lennon is inspiring to me because he had hardcore thoughts and made
them known to the world. there's a theory that john lennon was killed because of this
song, which is kind of cool. I hate that hes dead but if the theorys true then it only
strengthens his message. basicly, john lennon's like the greatest 60-70s singer of ever.
