12. General Instructions to Candidates
MBA (International Business) 2010-12
I. Eligibility Criteria
1. All those who have passed Graduation (of 3 year duration such as B.Sc/B.com/B.A/BBM or 4 year duration
such as B.E/B.Tech /B.Pharm./B.Sc. (Agri)/BDS) from a recognized university are eligible to apply.
Candidates should have reasonably good command over both written and spoken English.

VIII Group Discussion and Interview on Monday 21.6.2010
10. The candidates who are short listed have to attend Group Discussion on 21.6.2010 at 10.00AM. All those
who are short-listed for group discussion will be invited to attend interview.
11. Those who are short listed for interview have to submit a Demand Draft for Rs.5, 000 (Rupees Five
thousand only) in favour of the Registrar, JNTUH payable at Hyderabad. Without this draft, one cannot attend
interview. Arrangements are made on this campus for purchase of Demand Drafts from Andhra Bank and State
Bank of Hyderabad.
12. Date of interview: 21-06-2010 Reporting time 11.00PM with a) original degree certificates b) intermediate
certificates c) SSC certificate and other relevant certificates, if any.
IX Selection of Participants
13. Final Results will be displayed on 21.06.2010 by 6.00PM.
14. Those who are not short-listed in interview can collect the DD immediately. If they do not collect the DD
back, they may be considered for admission based on the merit rank in due course, in case any vacancy arises.
15. Those who are short-listed after interview will have to pay the balance fee Rs.1, 45,000 (Rupees One lakh
Forty Five thousand only) in case of Non-sponsored category/Rs.2, 45,000 (Rs. Two lakh forty five thousand
only) by DD drawn in favour of The Registrar, JNTUH payable at Hyderabad by 25.06.2010 in the office of

Programme Objectives
This Programme aims at imparting professional education and training in modern management techniques for handling
international business operations in a highly dynamic and competitive environment. The specific objectives of this
programme are
To prepare the participants for professional careers in the Management of International Business Operations
To enable the participants appreciate the interrelationships between diverse and complex tasks of international business
operations
To help the participants develop analytical skills to identify international business opportunities and conditions for
access to potential markets
To promote among the future business executives a scientific approach and capability to undertake senior management
responsibilities in international business.
To familiarize the participants with the latest developments taking place in WTO regime and mould themselves to be
more competent in the legal framework of international business.
The programme aims at providing a comprehensive coverage incorporating all the important subject areas and disciplines
relevant to international business activities. Equal emphasis has been placed on the quantitative and analytical approach to the
study of international business management. It also attempts to provide comparative perspectives in many facets of international
business by covering methods of doing businesses as well as trade and business practices, procedures and documentation, beside
effective use of computers and modern information technology which are being increasingly used in international business
decision making process. Recognising the importance of communication in international business, special emphasis is given to
developing proficiency and commercial operations in foreign language namely: French..
Workshops/Industrial Visits/ Industrial Tour in India/Foreign Tour To enable students to get a real life understanding of the
business models and functioning of international markets, workshops, industrial visits, industrial tours will be organized. The
details of financial commitment on the part of university and students are as follows:
Requirements Details
One workshop of three day duration for MBA- Students do not pay for this. University will take care of the expenditure not
IB Students per semester involving an exceeding Rs.3,00,000 per workshop (including faculty travel and
expenditure of Rs.3,00,000 per workshop honorarium, course kit, lunch and snacks, and other related expenses)
One Industrial Visit (one/two day duration Students do not pay for this. University will take care of the expenditure not
(Local) involving an expenditure of Rs.40,000 exceeding for each industrial visit Rs.40,000 per semester to cover hire-bus
per Semester charges, Lunch and other expenses
One Industrial visit of 10 day duration (out-of Students do not pay for this. University will provide One industrial visit per
state, covering a minimum of two states in year not costing more than Rs.25,000 per student (including Train fare by
south/North) per year for 70 students involving railway concession, local transport and boarding and dormitory lodging for
an expenditure not exceeding Rs.2,500 per 10 days)

One International tour of 9/10 days duration to Students need to pay for this. There is no financial commitment for
Malaysia-Thailand-Singapore-Hongkong. (any university, the students need to bear the total costs of international tour
two locations)
