ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE ADMISSION TO A TWO-YEAR FULL-TIME MASTER OF

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA) PROGRAMME- A.Y. 2022-24

ABOUT THE INSTITUTE

National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh, Tadepalligudem, is an Institute of National
Importance, established in the A.Y. 2015. It is a fully-funded Institute under the Ministry of Education,
Government of India. Currently, the Institute offers (A) B.Tech. programme in eight engineering
branches, Bio-Technology, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and
Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering, and Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, (B) M.Tech. programme in eight
specializations (C) Ph.D. (both under Full-time and Part-time modes) programme in the above-mentioned
engineering branches, Sciences, Humanities and Management, viz., Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry,
English and Management, and (D) M.S.(by Research) programme in the above-mentioned eight
engineering branches.
The Institute is introducing a two year full-time residential Master of Business Administration
(MBA) programme under the School of Humanities and Management (SHM). Applications are invited
through online mode from eligible candidates for admission to the MBA programme for the academic
session 2022-24.

1. Eligibility Criteria:
(a) Any Graduate with 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% marks in the qualifying degree, from a
recognized Institute/University. In case of SC/ST categories, candidates should have secured a 6.0 CGPA (on
a 10-point scale) or 55% marks in the graduation level from a recognized Institute/University by Ministry of
Education/AIU.
The candidates appearing in the final semester/year examination or waiting for the final result may also apply
for the above course. However, they have to produce their mark/grade sheet showing 6.5 CGPA or 60% for
general/OBC/EWS category candidates and 6.0 CGPA or 55% marks (in aggregate) in case of SC/ST/PwD
candidates, latest by 31st December 2021. Provisional admissions will be permitted for these types of
candidates, failing which their admission will stand cancelled.
(b) A valid CAT/CMAT/MAT/GMAT/any other national level admission test score related to MBA admission.
(c) The candidates satisfying the criteria (a) mentioned above, but not the criteria (b) can also apply for the
admission into the programme. Entrance examination shall be conducted for the shortlisted candidates, if the
seats will remain vacant after filling with the candidates satisfying criteria (b).

2. Selection Procedure:
The applicants will be shortlisted based upon the CAT/CMAT/MAT/GMAT/any other national level
test score related to MBA admissions, academic credentials and performance in Group Discussions (GD)/
Personal Interview (PI).
The following method will be used to calculate the final score for preparing merit list.

3. Application Fees:
Application fee is Rs.1500/- for OPEN/OBC/EWS candidates (Rs.750/- for SC/ST/PwD candidates).

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

a. The candidates are advised to visit the Institute website www.nitandhra.ac.in to fill and submit
the online application form.

b. The applicant should also upload the soft copy of the application/acknowledge form, fee payment receipt
and all the testimonials (merged into one file) on the below-mentioned google-form
https://forms.gle/PhVmJ5SNSuADDQcY6. The applicant should also keep the soft copy of the submitted
application for future references.

c. The candidates must pay the required application fee of Rs.1500/- (Rs.750/- for SC/ST/PwD categories)
only through SBI i-collect and the payment procedure is given in Annexure ‘A’. Application fee once
paid is non-refundable.
d. The last date for submitting the online applications is 30th October, 2021.
e. Candidates should visit the Institute website (www.nitandhra.ac.in) frequently for all future
communications such as date of GD/PI, short-listed candidates etc. No separate communication will be
sent in this regard.

f. Reservation of seats: Reservations are applicable to SC/ST/OBC/Economically Weaker Section

(EWS)/Candidate with Physical Disability (PwD) as per the rules and regulation of the Govt. of India.
 OBC/EWS certificate (if applicable), issued on or after 01-04-2021 should be submitted in the
prescribed format (Annexure-B/C). Otherwise, candidates are required to submit affidavit in the
prescribed format (Annexure-D/E)
 SC/ST certificate (if applicable) should be submitted in the prescribed format (Annexure-F).
 Physically Handicapped (PwD) Certificate, if applicable, should be submitted in the prescribed
format (Annexure-G).

g. Candidates must produce their original mark/ grade sheets, Transfer-cum-Migration certificate, NOC and all
relevant certificates at the time of admission. However, the candidates appearing in the final semester/year
examination or waiting for the final result will be permitted to provisional admission subjected to submission
of the final result & certificates latest by 31st December, 2021, failing which their admission will stand
cancelled.
h. The admission may be cancelled at any time if the certificates are found inappropriate.

i. All the fees (except the caution deposits) paid to the Institute is not refundable under any circumstances
if the candidate chooses to cancel his/her admission after completing the admission to the programme.

j. The MBA programme is governed by institute’s rules and regulations prescribed from time to time.

k. No TA/DA will be paid for attending test/interview.

l. Legal disputes, if any, with National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh, will be restricted within the
jurisdiction of Honorable High Court of Andhra Pradesh.
