Introduction
Have you ever wanted to be fit and just didnt know the proper steps to take
in order to get there? The objective of this assignment is to learn the proper
steps it takes in order to get to where you want to be as far as your fitness
goes. People always want to work out and they never see improvement in
their bodies so they give up. We are going to learn how to measure how
hard we are working out and what we need to do to get our bodies where we
want them to be!

The Task
By the end of this assignment, you will know many exercises that work
different parts of the body that will help you gain muscle and cardiovascular
strength. You will work with a partner and each of you will be assigned
different workouts. You will present what you learned about these workouts
in a speech at the end of the class. You will also find out ways to measure

these workouts along with your heart rates so that you know what you need
to be doing to get your heart rate to a certain point. It is your job to
understand the workouts, the muscles that are being used for these
workouts, and how to measure if you are getting anything out of these
workouts.

which muscles and how you can work out these individual muscles in
order for them to grow and reach their full potential.
3. Discuss the importance of reaching your target heart rate.
4. Complete a workout that would meet cardiovascular needs.
5. Discuss the role that reaching target heart rate can play in your

6. Discuss how having a good workout routine can be healthy for you in
your life and how it can help your heart.
7. Create a slide show about having a good workout routine, how you can
find your target heart rate, and ways you can incorporate these things
into your daily lifestyle.
I will monitor this slideshow, how well you work with your partner, and the
information you provided to your class.

Strategies to Meet Students Learning Styles
While designing this webquest I tried to implement online links so that
students can research and watch videos instead of just taking instructions
and applying it. I think the webquest provides opportunities for different
learning styles, as well as working with a partner.
Resources and Materials
-Class books on workouts and activities.
-Online videos to show what the students should be looking for
-Worksheets about topics
