ABSTRACT

This research is based on the lack of science ability in children. This was caused by
method used in learning process tend to be a Preaching Method, thus made children
to be less-active in every learning activities. Experimental Method is chosen so that
children can be exploring more active in concluding what they are studying by
actively involved in science learning activities. Therefore, this research is aimed to
know Kelompok B TK Angkasa IIs science ability before and after the
Experimental Method had been given and to know the effect of the implementation
of Experimental Method in childrens science ability. Type of research used is PreExperimental Design, with research design One Group Pretest-Posttest. The
population of this research is every children of Kelompok B in TK Angkasa II,
whereas the sample of this research is Kelompok B2 consisted of 14 children. Data
collection method used is by observing and documenting. Data analysis method used
is Statistical Descriptive Analysis and Statistical Nonparametric Analysis by using
Wilcoxons comparison test. From the calculation obtained, average Pretest score is
12.6 and average Posttest score is 17.9 with T count (105) > T table (21) and Z count
(3.28) > Z table (1.645). Therefore, H 1 is accepted, meaning Experimental Method
have effect on childrens science ability of Kelompok B TK Angkasa II Kota
Makassar
