POST-EVENT REPORT
The Sukan Rakyat Inter Village Traditional Sports Carnival semester January 2016 is a 2
days event which was held on the 26 th and 27th of March 2016. It is an event organized by 3
organizations namely, Village 4 committee, Residential College Support Unit and Fellow Council.
The main objectives of this event are to introduce Malaysian traditional sports to UTP
students and staffs due to fading interest on these traditional sports. Not only that, it also promotes
the cooperation among the committee members from different village, fellows and RCSU members
and fosters the integration between the races in UTP.
In day 1, the committees gathered at V4 caf as early as 8 am to make some of the
preparation for the event soon. The registration started at 9.30 am and the first event started at 10
am which was lompat ting ting. There were 6 games were played by the participants in day 1,
namely:
The committees were really happy to see huge numbers of participants which included not
only the students but also staffs, who came to join us in day 1. Kabbadi was set as the last game
of the day and we ended day 1 at 7 pm.
In day 2, we started our day at 9 am and the registration started at 9.30 am. The first game
of day 2 was Tating Lawi, a Chinese traditional game and as for day 2, there were 4 traditional
games being played, namely:

Everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly were very happy with this years Sukan Rakyat InterVillage competition. A job well done by the Village 4 committees, RCSU and also Fellow Council.
