OBJECTIVE
The objective of this Instruction is to set down the procedure for isolating
Plant/Apparatus involving isolations required from more than one Safety
Controller.

2.

SCOPE
This procedure is applicable to Plant or Apparatus supplied by Participant
or other groups and where each Commissioning Team have a responsibility
for implementing the Company Safety Rules.
The safety system employed is based on each Safety Controller being
responsible for applying precautions to achieve "Safety from the System"
as appropriate within their defined scope of supply and issuing a Safety
Document.

3.

DEFINITIONS
Definitions printed in bold type are defined in the Safety Rules.

4.

GENERAL
4.1

Prior to any isolation being applied, the Site Manager's Nominee will
assess the impact on the system as a whole and authorise the release
of the Plant or Apparatus from service.

4.2

Each Safety Controller will isolate and lock off the Plant or
Apparatus within his defined scope and hand the keys and a signed
safety precautions list to the Safety Controller preparing the
Safety Document.

4.3

The Safety Document will be prepared in accordance with

procedure no. TgBin-TTB-B0-HS-78006 - Completion of Safety
Documents.
