OWSLAs Black Rabbit Tour

In todays changing music business, labels have to transition to event production and
merchandising to stay afloat and continue making money to support their artists. EDMs uprising
has brought forth many music festivals to play. From Insomniac Events themed festivals to
music label festivals such as Mad Decent Block Party and Fools Gold Day OFF; these are
all legendary names that have put EDM out in the open. We plan to make OWSLAs tour the
next big thing to continue this. Competitive labels such as these have already created tours that
help build their following and establish newly signed artists while highlighting talent both on and
off their label. Its time OWSLA paved its way into the music festival touring world, and create
events that reach out to todays bass loving millennials, all while celebrating unique music.

TOTAL POSSIBLE ATTENDANCE: 7 3,575

We will be working our way from the top of the country and make our way down due to
the timeframe that we will be touring on (Late Summer-Fall). We will get the coldest cities out
of our way and work our way into the more warmer climate cities as we get deeper into the fall
season.
Exact Venues will be decided depending on city and what is the well known venue for
the EDM scene that can be used for our tour. We chose the cities based on their known
reputation and their individual input that they have been in the EDM culture. These cities also
are known to contain local talent as well, and the tour manager (Gabriel Tejada) will be working
with the Producer and Assistant Producer on choosing which types of local acts that will be
touring and selecting that will coincide with the city's EDM taste.
Transportation will be provided to our main acts that will accommodate their specific
needs and make their touring as stressless as possible. For accommodations and transportation
we decided on Tour buses for both the headlining acts and production team. We will consists of
2 Luxury Tour buses for our headliners and then another 2 standard tour buses for the production
team. As for the staging and production material, we will consists of 4 trucks and trailers. Due to
our tour timeframe being so small and our show contains a very large production, we will have
two make ups of our staging and production materials so that we can basically be setting up for
our next act the day we our using the material as well. Although this is extra money out of our
pocket, this will definitely make the tour a lot smoother and return better results in the long run.
EVENT LOGISTICS:
The OWSLA Tour is going to be a tour that nobody wants to miss. There is much work
that goes into putting together a tour. Even though the music artists play a major role in making
the experience a great one, the peoples overall experience on the floor grounds also makes the
tour all the more interesting. The event coordinator (Chakeyra Taylor) will be in charge of taking
care of the attendees experience on the floor. To get the crowd involved with the show each
Music artist will pick a prop to wear during the show that also will be given to the crowd. This
will allow each person to feel like they are a part of the show.
Also there will be a portable and manual moneyed photo booth where pictures can be
taken with the props. A handful of photos taken in the photo booth will be chosen at random and
shown in a slide show during one of the song selections. Though this event is supposed to be fun,
we have to ensure that each person leaves the tour the same way they came.
On the floor there will be stations set up for beverages and first aid supplies so that
everyone can stay hydrated and safe. In addition to the stations volunteers will take turns running
through the crowd checking to see that there are not any complications within the crowd. This
Tour is going to be an amazing experience for everyone that attends. We want to provide each
city with a night of flawless feel good music that they will remember forever.
STAGING:

Due to the high demand of the overstimulation of our senses in a live show environment,
OWSLA will expect nothing less than the top of the line equipment in the audio and visual
realm. Taking into consideration the the venues the tour has lined up, we will need three different
shows prepared; one for the three popular scenarios we will encounter throughout the tour.
The first scenario is the ideal scenario, which is one where we have control over our set
design, which includes the control of our lighting, audio, and stage design. Having dealt with
DAS audios lightweight yet powerful line array system, It will be my go-to option for our stage
design. Chauvet will be our primary choice in stage design for lighting and LED skrims. We will
need to hire a local lighting engineer to run the show from the Front Of House, or FOH. I will
personally run the mixer along side our lighting engineer in FOH. Our stage will be constructed
to the theme of our event, and we will have a special centerpiece rolled out for the headliners of
the tour.
The second set design will be for indoor Arenas or Clubs with a large capacity where we
most likely will not be able to alter the stage to our liking, but will still have the ability to run
sound and lighting from FOH. The LED skrims will do the majority of the work for our theme,
since the stage will remain essentially unaltered.
The third and least desirable set construction is not really a design at all, unfortunately.
In situations where the city demands us to play in a club, or a venue closes last minute and we
are forced to another location, we will resort to this measure. The lighting engineer and myself
will need to resort to using what the venue has to offer, and the stage will be limited to the
equipment we bring on the tour.
MARKETING:
Just like these other festivals the age group of 18 years and over is the audience we will be
targeting for this particular event. EDM lovers and followers of music producer, Skrillex, will
gather for this event to enjoy the music Owsla has made possible.
Owslas tour will be promoted through multiple social media. We will be using the following:

Snapchat
Twitter
Instagram
Facebook
Youtube
Video ads
Radio ads
Owsla radio podcast
Promoters

We will be announcing our tour through all these social medias. Along with future
announcements, tickets giveaway contest, line ups, venues, etc. This is what will hook the
audience to go purchase our events ticket and spread the word.
Once the tour has been announced, we will then introduce our secret weapon the white ticket.
What do we mean by the white ticket? When we distribute the tickets or when a person is
about to print out his or her ticket, and they get a white ticket they will have the opportunity to
spend some time with Skrillex and other EDM artist on the tour for the day. This strategy will
have people buying tickets left to right, in trying to be the lucky winner.
We will also have our Owsla Black Rabbit label on all of our transportation so when people are
on the go they will know Skrillex and his crew are on their way. This tactic will not only create
excitement, but will also bring forth more people to come to the show, and possibly allow
multiple shows to be sold out.
