The period is divided between Pre- Prof.P.K.Abdul Azis( Current VC, AMU) and Post- P.K.Abdul Azis era which shows that under his regime students voice of dissent was crushed and the fundamental right of freedom of speech and expression was severely violated.

    #- Girls suspended for allegedly been involved in mobilizing girls, asking for the resignation of Provost, shouting slogans against
    the Vice-Chancellor when rumour spread that a girl was raped.
    ^-An FIR was filed against Mr.Irfan Khan, Phd, Mass Comm on the basis of which he was suspended, later on the FIR was found to
    be false. His suspension was not revoked for 4 months even though sufficient evidence was produced.
    *- Mr. Afaq Ahmad, M.Phil , Mass Comm has been alleged to have threatened the Vice-Chancellor which is still to be investigated.

    Note- Disciplinary Committee/Proctors Office meted out these punishments(except Show-Cause) after the trial of the suspended
    students above. Campus Ban had been issued to most of the students who got suspended by the Proctor in his orders.
