Procedures Followed
Warm Up: (after learnable piece) Touch the floor,
touch your knees, touch your shoulders, touch your
head, while counting 1-10.
Transition:
- Students sitting at their seats to begin.
Set Induction:
- I want all of you to think of an animal or insect
who can hop really high. (ask for a few
examples on animals students thought of).
- Awesome, now remember your animal or
insect because we are going to pretend to be
them later today!
Learnable Piece:
- Early today we warmed up by counting to ten.
Now we are going to learn how to skip count!
- Demonstrate skip counting by 2s with cups
and chips and explain how it can work for 5s
and other numbers as well

Transition:
- When I say go, I need you to stand up and put
your elbows out like a chicken and wiggle your
wings around to make sure you have enough
room and dont hit your neighbors!
- Your job today is to mirror the move I am doing
(while pretending to be your animal)
- We are going to practice our skip counting by
jumping!
- (demonstrate *whisper* one JUMP two
*whisper* three JUMP four)
