Effective July 1, 2014, the aggregate annual salary paid to the Superintendent frum slate and focal funds shall be $178,270.00. tn addition to the salary paid the Superintendent ffom state funds, he shall also be paid any supplement for advanced degrees and any future bonuses or salary increases for which he is eligible, as provided to superintendents by the State. For the following fiscal years, beginning July 1, 2015, the aggregate annual salay paid the Superintendent from state ard local funds shall be inereased by the amount representing the average percentage increase ofall the steps contained in the Teacher Monthly Salary Schedule for “A” teachers for the upcoming fiscal year when compared to the coresponding steps contzined in the same salary schedule for the previous fiscal year, At no time shall the annual aggregate salary of the Superintendent be decreased during the term ofthis Contract. Inthe event the stale reduces or eliminates the advanced degree supplement for Superintendents, then the aggregate annual salary shall be increased by an amount to match that previously paid by the State forthe advanced degree supplement.” IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, the Craven County Board of Education has caused this ‘Third Amendment tothe Superintendent's Contract to be executed in its name by its Chairperson, ‘Carll G. CONSULTING AND OUTSIDE! “The Superintendent agees to devote his time, skill labor, and attention to tis duties during the term of this contrac; provided, however, that the Superintendent may undertake various outside profesional dues and obligations including writing, lecturing, and speaking engagements subject othe approval of| the Board, In addition, the Superintendent may engage in other shortterm aetvities ofthe Superintendent's choosing, ineluling the opfortuity to tach or seve as an adjunct professor orn some other capacity atthe college or univesty level on & parttime basis, subject to approval by the Boa.
