Lesson aims:
to create a pleasant atmosphere;
to create interest in the topic of holidays, things to take on holiday, places to visit on holiday, people to go with on
holiday;
to revise/ introduce the vocabulary related to the topic;

to raise expectations and create involvement in the listening, speaking and reading task;
to motivate students to use the new vocabulary;
to encourage the students to communicate with each other.
Skills: integrated, mainly speaking;
Didactic strategies:
a) Procedural resources: elicitation, explanation, individual work, conversation, reading comprehension, pair work/group
work.
b) Material resources: cd, cd-player, textbooks, student' notebooks, the blackboard, chalk, hand-outs.

T announces Ss that they are going to revise the words learned


in the previous lesson (words related to things to take on
holiday) and sticks on the blackboard the poster Lets go on T-Ss
holiday. After repeating all the necessary things to take in a Ss-T
holiday T gives the Ss a hand-out and asks Ss to find the
words mentioned/ repeated before. Ss solve the task given.

T reminds Ss the question words WHO, WHERE, WHAT and T-Ss


asks Ss to give examples/ answers for each of the question. Ss-T
WHO for people (mum, dad, sisters, brothers, friends),
WHERE for places (seaside, mountains, in a castle, in a
hotel), WHAT - things they can do (swim, visit a museum,
sail). T asks Ss to solve the exercise from hand-out 2 and to Ss-Ss
practice the dialogue with their colleagues (in pairs). T
chooses 2-3 pairs of Ss to practice the dialogue in front of the
class.
