Nadege, Inc., takes next steps to building safe house in Haiti

KOKOMO, Ind. (Nov. 21, 2016) --- Back in July, Nadege, Inc. hosted its first Restored
Gala where the proceeds went to the initial process of beginning construction of
their first safe house in Haiti.

We were $5,000 shy of starting construction after our Restored Gala in July, says
Emily Hays, co-founder of Nadege, Inc. After hearing that we were shy, a generous
donor matched the amount that we needed and now we are able to begin
construction.

The Nadege, Inc. team will begin construction by building a security wall around the
safe house. The goal of the security wall is to provide safety to the women who will
be living in the safe house.

Emily Hays and a group of her friends formed Nadege, Inc. in May of 2015. Emilys
heart broke when she heard of the large prevalence of sexual violence against
women in Haiti. Emily was the first person to meet Nadege, a woman who looked to
be a victim of sexual violence. They met in 2012 and Emily could not stop thinking
about her.

The tagline of Nadege, Inc. is Hope Restored. Nadeges name means, hope. The
overarching goal of this organization is to restore the hope in women over the age of
18 who have been victims of sexual violence.
