Do you think the skateboard programme has helped your learning?
Writing has been going good for me. My writing is getting a little bit more steady. I
get started straight away, I come up with ideas quickly and just write it down. I got 3
certificates for writing since I started learning to skateboard. I have never had a
certificate for writing before.
I find maths challenging. Thats like sometimes theres like divides and remembering
the facts. Maths is easiest of writing and reading. I count on from the big number.
When I was little I used to count all of them but now I learn fast how to add number
together.
7 is my magic number. When I turned 7, I just started learning. I am 7 now and I can
skateboard.
What was the best part of learning to skateboard?
I couldnt even do it at first. It was kicking off and putting both feet up that was the
hardest part. Its scary still. I dont like falling off. Sometimes I want to stop and just
get off cos inside me says its too scary.

Teacher Comment
No change with regard to engagement with learning in class. It is almost like Leon is
unsure of himself with his peers so doesnt engage so he doesnt have to talk in front
of them or be part of learning with them. Self-conscious to make decisions for
himself.
